Gil-Mar: Founding a Great Partnership

In 2004 Gil-Mar established PGI Far East Precision Products. PGI is a joint venture in Shanghai, China that specializes in the machining of aluminum, ductile iron, stainless steel and steel forgings. Among the components currently being produced at PGI include the following: Engine mounting Brackets, Bearing Caps, Linkshaft Brackets, and Flanges.  As a TS16949 certified supplier, PGI is currently a Tier 1 supplier to Ford Motor Company and VW. They are currently shipping product to the domestic Chinese, USA and European markets.

The 80,000 square foot facility utilizes CNC equipment along with dedicated equipment based on the volumes of the parts. PGI currently manufactures volumes ranging from 10,000 to 800,000 a year.  Lastly, Gil-Mar shares it’s resources in the USA for engineering, commercial and shipping services, thus providing the customer a direct contact in the US as well as China.
